What the OP is describing is an emotional reaction. It’s a not a product of logic or reason. People’s behavior can be explained. But that does not equate to it being right or good or acceptable.

If a young person doesn’t like conversing with adults online, there’s a very obvious and labeled unfollow button. It’s not rocket science and neither is it an especially mature decision. It’s the equivalent of pressing end call or giving someone the silent treatment (which are also things children do in real life since apparently telling them to block is expecting too much of them)

Children aren’t dumb, they know the difference between right and wrong and just because you wouldn’t have done something that doesn’t make it okay or justifiable. Social media have age limits for a reason. If you aren’t mature enough to curate your own experiences instead of whining and attacking people who haven’t done anything to you, then you need to take several seats.
