  14. phoenixonwheels said: @dontforgetcat1 I’ll try this one more time, for those who refuse to listen. When you file an ACAA violation case with the DOT, you are not the one taking the recording to court. The DOT’s lawyers are. They’re not going to use it if they don’t think it’s legal. I’ve yet to have either the DOT’s lawyers or an airline complain about my recordings. But please, ablesplain this to me for the 125th time.
  15. phoenixonwheels said: @dontforgetcat1 You’re not an expert, you have zero experience, but you’re going to ablesplain recording law to me. Of course you are.
  16. phoenixonwheels said: @dontforgetcat1 This entire post is literally about recording the gate agents at the gate before a flight boards, and the flight attendants during boarding. There are always people around. But thanks again for being the 122nd person to ablesplain recording law to me.
  17. phoenixonwheels said: @dontforgetcat1 However this is correct for Massachusetts. Meaning I will not be flying through Massachusetts - and if I do my camera will be very obvious. “Under the Massachusetts law secret recording is illegal even if the person being recorded does not have an expectation of privacy in the conversation in question, meaning that in Massachusetts it is illegal to secretly record conversations even in public places, where the speaker knows that others may overhear.”
  18. phoenixonwheels said: @dontforgetcat1 Wrong. “Q: Is it illegal to record someone without consent in California?” “A: It is illegal to record a confidential conversation without consent in California. Note that while PC 632 makes it a crime to record a private conversation, a party can legally record a communication made in a public gathering. The law also does not apply to the police and some private citizens when recording a conversation to gather evidence of an offense.”
